In the wedding world, when someone says “last minute”, it typically means a month prior, or maybe two weeks, and you guessed it sometimes even one week. When someone “wakes up” and decides today is the day, they plan to propose to their significant other, it takes last minute to a whole new level! Within three hours of having no ideas, parameters or vision. I surprise even myself, by creating a last minute proposal, that I can say, caught the eye and tear of the select few that witness such proposal.
It was just a normal Saturday, one that I planned, on resting and recovering from a long travel week. That all changed when I received a message from a local photographer sending and SOS for a planner, that very evening for a proposal. After a ten minute chat with the soon to be groom, I packed up decorations that I collected from my living room and headed to pick out fresh roses from the local market. I found a beautiful spot next to a fountain and got the photographer in place for the big surprise.
The moment came as the couple began their stroll down the concrete path, and with tears in his eyes, he held her hands and “popped the question”. After saying yes a million times over, the couple captured more moments with the photographer and enjoyed a private rooftop dinner, that I decorated with rose petals and candles. The last minute proposal ended under the stars in pure bliss.
